How much is one pattern worth?

What is a single pattern worth?

2587 minutes or 43 hours, 7 min and 100g yarn I have designed and knitted 7 patterns...

1 swimsuit

1 hat

1 slip on dress

1 shorts

1 skirt

1 short jumpsuit

1 bolero

1 long sleeve dress

1 long overall

3 shirts

And 3 bags

Total of 15 pieces

Minimum wage is AU$24.95/hr × 43.12 = $1075.76

Add material (yarn $4 and buttons $1) = $1080.76 (cost price) 

$1080.76 ÷ 7 (patterns) = $154.39

To conclude, 1 pattern is worth $154.39. I get (after fees) $3 per download pattern 

I have to sell a single pattern 52 times to be reimbursed the cost price. 

This is also why no designer work on hourly rates. We can never be paid the time we put into this.

I have added some photos of mix and match outfits. So if you buy all 7 patterns there are ways to create even more outfits. Try different colours and mix & match. Just have fun.
