Materials: 

8 ply yarn (used 4 Seasons Acrylic), 2mm needles, tapestry needle, stitch holder

To Fit: 

29 cm Fashion doll with modern standard body

Test square: 

8sts & 10 rows stst = 2.5 cm block

Abbreviations: k - knit sts - stitches k2tog - knit 2 stitches together inc - increase by knitting into the front and back of st

Begin with one leg

Cast on 19sts

Garter st 4 rows

Stst 48 rows

Next row: Cast off 2sts, k to end

Next row: Cast off 2sts, p to end (15sts)

Keep sts on a holder and knit another leg the same.

Now knit over both legs (30sts)

Stst 7 rows

1x1 rib 4 rows

Next row: Cast off 7 sts in rib, k16, cast off 7sts in rib

The front is knitted separatly:

Rejoin yarn to first part and k8

Garter st 50 rows

Tip: Slip the first st of every row to get a neat edge

Cast off

Repeat for other 8sts

Sew crotch, back and leg seams. Twist the straps and sew edges together. Tip: Dress the doll with ws out and then sew straps

Decoration (optional)

Flower

Cast on 40sts

Row 1: k

Row 2: k2tog across

Repeat rows 1 & 2

Cast off

Roll into a “rose” and sew into place

Belt

Cast on 4sts

Stst 6 rows

Row 7: C4F (slip 2sts onto a cable needle and hold in front, k2, k2 from cable needle)

Repeat these 7 rows six times more.

Stst 6 rows

Next row: k1, yo, k2tog, k1

Next row: p

Garter st 2 rows

Cast off

Darn away yarn ends. Sew button opposite buttonhole. Tip: Twist the cables.
