Materials:
8ply wool (used Bendigo Woollen Mills) and 2mm needles, needle and thread and a tapestry needle for sewing seams
Abbreviations:
k - knit p - purl sts - stitches stst - stocking stitch k2tog - (decrease) knit 2 stitches together inc - increase by knitting into front and back of the same stitch
To fit: 11 inch fashion doll with the modern standard body type
Test square: (please knit to make sure the clothes will fit)
2.5 x 2.5 cm =
Cast on 8 sts and stst 10 rows
(Really super fast to test. )
Belt loops (make 6)
Make an i-cord of 1 cm but leave the loop active on a spare needle for later.
Pants
Begin with one leg
Cast on 15sts
1x1 rib 1 row
Stst 30 rows
Next row: inc1 st at beginning and end of row (17sts)
Stst 7 rows
Next row: inc1 st at beginning and end of row (19sts)
Stst 11 rows
Cast off 2 sts at beginning of next two rows
Keep the sts on a holder or seperate needle and knit another leg the same.
Next row: knit over both legs (30sts)
Begin with a p row and stst 7 rows
Next row: k2, place a loop in front of the pants and knit together the next st and loop st, *k4, place a loop in front of the pants and knit together the next st and loop st, *, repeat *-* four times more, end with k2 (30sts)
Next row: p
Cast off in rib pattern
Sew loops to pants, sew crotch, back and leg seams.
