Color fun dress and jumper

Materials:

8ply yarn in 7 colours I used black, dark pink, light pink, blue, green, dark yellow and light yellow. 2mm needles

Test square:

8ply and 2mm needles

8sts and 10 rows stst = 2.5 x 2.5cm

To fit: Modern standard body type Barbie doll

Dress

Cast on 30sts with dark pink

2x2 rib 1 row

Next row: p

Continue in stst and change colour

1 row black

2 rows light pink

1 row black

2 rows blue

1 row black

2 rows green

1 row black

2 rows dark yellow

1 row black

2 rows light yellow

1 row black

2 rows dark pink

1 row black

2 rows light pink

1 row black

2 rows blue

1 row black

2 rows green

1 row black

2 rows dark yellow

1 row black

2 rows light yellow

1 row black

2 rows dark pink

1 row black

2 rows light pink

1 row black

Next row: blue - k6, cast off 3sts, k12, cast off 3sts, k6

Next row: blue - p6, cast on 12, p12, cast on 12, p6

Cast off in black

Sew seam and darn away yarns

Jumper

Knit from side to side

Cast on 14sts

1x1 rib 2 rows

Garter st 42 rows

Next row: cast on 10sts, k to end

Next row: cast on 10sts, k to end (34sts)

Garter st 6 rows

Now divide and knit the front and back seperate 

K17, leave other 17sts on a holder

Garter st 20 rows and keep these sts on a holder.

Rejoin yarn to the unworked 17sts 

Garter st 21 rows

Now knit over both sets of sts (34sts)

Garter st 5 rows

Next row: cast off 10sts, k to end

Next row: cast off 10sts, k to end (14 sts)

Garter st 42 rows

1x1 rib 1 row

Cast off in rib

Fold and sew arm and side seams.
