Sew them together leaving the top open.
Make the handles and shoulder strap and sew it on.
Still looks good just fewer details and maybe more kid friendly.

BTB dress

Back To Basics pattern

Copyright  ©️ Hanka’s Knitting Crafts

Materials:
8ply yarn (used Marvel 4 seasons acrylic), 2mm needles, and a tapestry needle for sewing seams

Abbreviations:
k - knit      p - purl      sts - stitches     stst - stocking stitch      sl2sts - slip two stitches

To fit: 11 inch fashion doll with modern standard body type

Test square: (please knit to make sure the clothes will fit)
2.5 x 2.5 cm =
Cast on 8 sts and stst 10 rows
(Really super fast to test. )

Cast on 30 sts
1x1 rib 1 row
Stst 20 rows
1x1 rib 14 rows
Stst 2 rows
Next row: k14, sl2sts, k14
Next row: p14, sl2sts, p14
Repeat the last two rows twice more.
Cast off loosely
Sew back seam.

Note: This dress is thight at the cast off end which is the top part. If you want a looser fit. You can cast on 32 sts and change the last rows to 15 sts on both sides of slipped sts.
Or you can sew 3/4 of back seam and sew a hook and eye fastener to close.

Mine is just knitted and sewed. I like the tight fit at the top so the dress does not by accident fall down.

Happy 2025

New year, new ideas...

Confession... this is the first year, ever, that I planned, made a vision board, write down important dates, and so forth.

What is on my to do list?

- Back to basics (I was inspired) less is sometimes more. And you can add to the basic to make it extraordinary. So why not. If you see BTB you know it is a basic item.

- Treat the guys. I don't know about you, but my dudes need clothes. Like desperately. So be sure that this year we will knit them some items too.

- They do... yes weddings. From wedding dresses to flower girl dresses. We need it all.

- Babies... after marriage, comes babies? Not always but there is a few things I would like to make for my mini baby dolls.

- Block a week.. coming soon. We knit 1 tiny square every week and put them together to make a lovely doll blanket. Easy patterns, so you can knit it in one go. More info will be available soon.

Is there something you would like a pattern for? Feel free to add your ideas by commenting.

Have fun.
