Triple frill dress for Curvy doll

 Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas for Curvy Dolls

Materials:
8ply yarn (used Sean sheep acrylic) in two colours C1 and C2, 2mm needles (you will need 3), and a tapestry needle for sewing seams

Abbreviations: 
k - knit     p - purl     sts - stitches        stst - stocking stitch     k2tog - (decrease) knit 2 stitches together      yo - yarn over     inc - increase by knitting into front and back of the same stitch    

To fit: 11 inch fashion doll with the curvy body type

Test square: (please knit to make sure the clothes will fit) 
2.5 x 2.5 cm = 
Cast on 8 sts and stst 10 rows
(Really super fast to test. )

Frill 1
With C1 cast on 100 sts
Change to C2
Garter stitch 2 rows
Stst 6 rows
Row 9: k2tog across (50sts)
Row 10: p
Keep these sts on a seperate needle

Frill 2
With C1 cast on 100 sts
Change to C2
Garter st 2 rows
Stst 6 rows
Row 9: k2tog across (50sts)
Stst 7 rows
Place frill 1 in front of frill 2 and knit one stitch from each needle together x50
Row 18: p
Keep these sts on a seperate needle

Frill 3
With C1 cast on 100sts
Change to C2
Garter st 2 rows
Stst 6 rows
Row 9: k2tog across (50sts)
Stst 15 rows
Place the previous 2 frills in front of frill 3 and knit one stitch from each needle together x50
Row 26: p
Row 27: (k1, k2tog) across (34sts)
Row 28: p
Change to C1
Row 29: k
Row 30: p
Change back to C2
Row 31: k
Row 32: p2tog, p to last 2sts, p2tog
Stst 10 rows
Row 43: cast off 8sts, k to end
Row 44: cast off 8sts, p to end
Now divide and knit each side seperatly 
Row 1: k2tog, k4, k2tog, keep other sts on a holder
Row 2: p
Row 3: k2tog, k2, k2tog
Row 4: p
Row 5: k2tog x2
Cast off
Rejoin yarn to sts on holder
Row 1: k2tog, k4, k2tog
Row 2: p
Row 3: k2tog, k2, k2tog
Row 4: p
Row 5: k2tog x2
Cast off

Sew frills seperatly. Sew back seam

Bow (optional)
With C1 cast on 8sts
Row 1: k
Row 2: k
Row 3: k2tog, k4, k2tog
Row 4: k
Row 5: k2tog, k2, k2tog
Row 6: k
Row 7: k2tog x2
Rows 8 - 10: k
Row 11: inc x2
Row 12: k
Row 13: inc, k2, inc
Row 14: k
Row 15: inc, k4, inc
Row 16: k
Cast off
Sew onto dress middle where colour change was knit.
