3/4 sleeve top and "jeans" for Curvy dolls

 Day 9 of 12 days of Christmas for Curvy Dolls

Materials:
8ply yarn (used Sean sheep acrylic) and 2mm needles, stitch holder/extra needles, hook & eye fastener, needle and thread and a tapestry needle for sewing seams, a button for pants. 

Abbreviations: 
k - knit     p - purl      sts - stitches       stst - stocking stitch     k2tog - (decrease) knit 2 stitches together     yo - yarn over     inc - increase by knitting into front and back of the same stitch    p2tog - (decrease) purl 2 stitches together 

To fit: 11 inch fashion doll with the curvy body type

Test square: (please knit to make sure the clothes will fit) 
2.5 x 2.5 cm = 
Cast on 8 sts and stst 10 rows
(Really super fast to test. )

Top
We begin with sleeves (make 2)
Cast on 14sts
Stst 12 rows
Cast off 2 sts at beginning of next two rows
Keep these sts on a holder or extra needle
Body
Cast on 54sts
Row 1: k
Row 2: k
Row 3: (p1, p2tog) repeat across row (36sts)
Stst 11 rows
Next row: p7, cast off 3 sts, p16, cast off 3 sts, p7
Now knit over all pieces like this:
k7 (back), k10 (sleeve), k16 (front), k10 (sleeve), k7 (back)
Next row: p (50sts)
Next row: k5, k2tog x2, k6, k2tog x2, k5, k2tog x2, k5, k2tog x2, k6, k2tog x2, k5
Next row: p
Next row: k4, k2tog x2, k4, k2tog x2, k9, k2tog x2, k4, k2tog x2, k4
Next row: k
Cast off
Sew arm seams. Sew half of back. Sew hook and eye fastener to top of neck. 

Jeans
Left leg
Cast on 18sts
1x1 rib 1 row
Stst 28 rows
Row 29: k5, cast off 2sts, k11
Row 30: p11, cast on 2sts, p5
Stst 2 rows
Row 33: Inc 1 at beginning and end of row 
Stst 3 rows
Row 37: Inc 1 at beginning and end of row
Stst 3 rows
Row 41: Inc 1 at beginning and end of row 
Row 42: p
Row 43: k7, cast off 3 sts, k14
Row 44: p14, cast on 3 sts, p7
Stst 10 rows
Cast off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows
Cut yarn and keep sts on a holder or extra needle.
Right leg
Cast on 18sts
1x1 rib 1 row
Stst 30 rows
Row 31: k11, cast off 2sts, k5
Row 32: p5, cast on 2sts, p11
Row 33: Inc 1 at beginning and end of row
Stst 3 rows
Row 37: Inc 1 at beginning and end of row 
Stst 3 rows
Row 41: Inc 1, k10, cast off 3sts, k7, inc 1
Row 42: p9, cast on 3sts, p12
Stst 4 rows
Row 47: k10, cast off 1st, k13
Row 48: p13, cast on 1st, p10
Stst 6 rows
Cast off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows
Now knit over both legs: k19, k2tog, k19 (39sts)
Stst 5 rows
Next row: k10, k2tog, k15, k2tog, k10 (37sts)
Next row: p
Next row: k10, k2tog, k13, k2tog, k10
Next row: p10, p2tog, p11, p2tog, p10 (33sts)
1x1 rib 3 rows
Next row: 1x1 rib to last 3sts, k2tog, yo, k1 (buttonhole)
Cast off
Sew crotch seam. Sew 3/4 of back seam. Sew a button opposite the buttonhole. With a needle and thread embroider around the holes to add effect. This takes time but complete the look. I added gold detail too to front of pants. 

It's time to fall in love
with Christmas all over again.
