Materials:
8ply yarn (used Sean Sheep acrylic in yellow and Heirloom Color Works in purple), 2mm needles, tapestry needle, stitch holder
Test square:
8sts & 10 rows stst = 2.5cm block
Abbreviations:
K - knit p - purl sts - stitches stst - stocking stitch inc - increase by knitting into the front and back of the same stitch k2tog - knit 2 stitches together C1/2 - color 1/2
To fit: 29cm fashion doll with modern standard body
Top
Used Sean Sheep Acrylic 8ply yarn in yellow
Cast on 18sts
Garter st 6 rows
Stst 20 rows
Row 27: cast on 26sts, k to end
Row 28: cast on 26sts, k2, p66, k2
Row 29: k
Row 30: k2, p66, k2
Repeat rows 29 & 30 another three times
Row 37: k27, cast off 16sts, k27
Row 38: k2, p25, cast on 16sts, p25, k2
Row 39: k
Row 40: k2, p66, k2
Repeat rows 39 & 40 another three times
Row 47: cast off 26sts, k to end
Row 48: cast off 26sts, p to end (18sts)
Stst 20 rows
Garter st 6 rows
Cast off
Sew seams.
Bottoms
Used Sean Sheep 8ply acrylic in yellow (C1) and Heirloom Color Works 8ply acrylic in purple (C2)
With C2 cast on 13sts
1x1 rib 2 rows
C1 - (k1, inc1) across, end with k1 (19sts
C1 - stst 3 rows
C2 - stst 2 rows
C1 - stst 4 rows
Repeat the last 6 rows another six times
C2 - stst 2 rows
C1 - cast off 2sts at beginning of next two rows
Cut yarns and keep sts on a holder or spare needle and knit another leg the same
Bow knit over both legs with C1
Next row: C1 p
C2 - stst 2 rows
C1 - stst 4 rows and cut C1
C2 - stst 2 rows
C2 - 1x1 rib 2 rows
Cast off in rib pattern
Make an i-cord of 4cm and sew to the middle front to mimic drawstrings.
Sew crotch, back and leg seams
Slippers (make 2)
Cast on 2 sts
Row 1: inc1 in each st (4sts)
Stst 7 rows
Next row: k2tog x2
Next row: p
Next row: inc1 in every st (4sts)
Stst 4 rows
Cast off in knit pattern
Fold and sew front side seams
