Materials:
8ply yarn (used Sean sheep acrylic) and 2mm needles x4, button for shirt or hook & eye fastener, and a tapestry needle for sewing seams
Abbreviations:
k - knit p - purl sts - stitches stst - stocking stitch k2tog - (decrease) knit 2 stitches together k2togtbl - (decrease) knit 2 sts together but put needles through back of the 2 sts inc - increase by knitting into front and back of the same stitch
To fit: 11 inch fashion doll with the curvy body type
Test square: (please knit to make sure the clothes will fit)
2.5 x 2.5 cm =
Cast on 8 sts and stst 10 rows
(Really super fast to test. )
Shorts
Begin with one leg
Cast on 26sts
Row 1: k
Row 2: p
Row 3: p
Rows 4 - 13: stst
Row 14: cast off 2 sts, k to end
Row 15: cast off 2 sts, p to end (22sts)
Keep these sts on a seperate needle
Knit another leg the same.
Next row: knit over both legs (44sts)
Next row: p
Now divide sts and add pockets:
Next row: (back piece) k10, cast on 6 sts (16sts) leave other sts on a seperate needle.
Begin with a purl row and stst 9 rows
Cut yarn and keep these sts on a seperate needle
Rejoin yarn to center (front) 24sts
Row 1: k1, k2tog, k18, k2togtbl, k1
Row 2: k1, p to last st, k1
Row 3: k1, k2tog, k16, k2togtbl, k1
Row 4: k1, p to last st, k1
Row 5: k1, k2tog, k14, k2togtbl, k1
Row 6: k1, p to last st, k1
Row 7: k1, k2tog, k12, k2togtbl, k1
Row 8: k1, p to last st, k1
Row 9: k1, k2tog, k10, k2togtbl, k1
Row 10: k1, p to last st, k1
Cat yarn, keep sts on another seperate needle.
Rejoin yarn to last 10sts for back and cast on 6sts (16sts)
Stst 10 rows
Cut yarn
Now knit over all the sts like this: (you will start at the first back piece, then front and end with the last back piece)
k11, place the next 5 sts behind the center/front piece and knit tog 1 st from both needles x5, k4 from front, place the next 5 sts in front of the other back piece and knit tog 1st from each needle x5, k11 (36sts)
Next row: p
1x1 rib 2 rows
Cast off in rib pattern.
Sew crotch, sew pocket on inside closed, sew back seam, sew leg seams, fold over the bottom 2 rows and secure.
Shirt
Begin with the sleeves (make 2)
Cast on 12 sts
Stst 6 rows
Cast off 1st at beginning of next 2 rows
Keep these sts on a seperate needle
Body
Cast on 36sts
Garter st 1 row
Stst 8 rows
Next row: k8, k2tog, k16, k2tog, k8
Stst 7 rows
Next row: k8, inc1, k16, inc1, k8
Stst 8 rows
Next row: p7, cast off 3sts, p16, cast off 3 sts, p7
Now knit over all sts like this:
back - k7, sleeve - k10, front - k16, sleeve - k10, back - k7
Stst 5 rows
Cast off
Sew arm seams an underarms. Sew 3/4 of back. Add a button and loop or hook & eye fastener to top of back to close.
